The Hyve joins first cBioPortal hackathon

Last week we had the privilege of joining the first cBioPortal hackathon, hosted by Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. The group (with developers from MSKCC, Dana Farber, The Hyve and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre) was divided into four smaller groups working on important topics for the short term like performance improvements and improved data loading to support more and larger studies, and on new topics like making it easier to combine and compare multiple studies or custom subsets (cohorts) from one or more studies.
